The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the ritual process for calling adults to a conversion of mind and heart which prepares them for a full and active life in the Catholic Church as disciples of Jesus. OCIA is a gradual process that takes place within the community of the faithful, and the length of time varies according to each person’s need, experience, readiness, and commitment.
Is there someone you can invite to explore the Catholic faith — someone unbaptized, or baptized in a non-Catholic Christian tradition? Perhaps you know a Catholic adult interested in being confirmed.
